Position Summary

The role involves providing manufacturing engineering support at the Energizer Rassau Auto Care facility. The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering and Maintenance leader, Production Supervisors, and the maintenance team to lead and manage improvement actions in response to evolving engineering and production needs.

Responsibilities

The individual will support and develop the team by implementing methods to ensure the Rassau facility remains best in class. Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Leader, key responsibilities include:

  • JPM Improvements
  • Forward Planning and Launch activities
  • SQDCME Compliance
  • EPS Initiatives
  • Providing hands-on engineering support to the team
  • Other related duties

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading engineering workstreams supporting production strategies and providing technical support to the production teams daily.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for effective daily operations using tools like Dynamic Control Planning, Feasibility studies, Change Control, and others.
  • Collaborating with management and training teams to meet engineering training needs.
  • Coordinating team activities to maximize workload and achieve goals, including budget objectives.
  • Assessing and coaching teams to ensure safety, quality, and delivery standards are met.
  • Investigating quality or production constraints through problem-solving tools to resolve issues and prevent recurrence, following 6 Panel and 5 Why processes.
  • Leading shutdown work and project planning and delivery.
What we are looking for

Applicants should hold or be studying for a Degree in Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or a related activity and possess the following skills:

  • People development and leadership abilities

  • Knowledge of quality tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, DCP
  • Task prioritization and workload management skills
  • Teamwork skills
  • Data analysis and presentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of Policy Deployment and scorecard use for performance measurement
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project; experience with CAD is a plus.
