Job description

The Air Ambulance Service provides two vital functions: Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA), which facilitates paediatric transfers across the UK. Our goal is to save lives by utilising specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics, focusing on improving clinical outcomes and responding swiftly to emergencies.

Data Transformation Manager (Internally known as Senior Data Strategist)

Location:

Rugby - Hybrid (40% office based)

Full Time:

37.5 hours

Annual Salary:

£45,029.00

Contract:

18-24 month fixed-term contract

Job Purpose

Are you proactive and driven, with a passion for data quality, process optimisation, automation, and insight generation to enhance supporter experience and income? Can you simplify complex data principles and engage stakeholders effectively? As we embark on "Mission Connect," a digital transformation project to overhaul our fundraising CRM and unify supporter data, we seek an experienced senior data professional to support strategic decisions, ensuring project success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a Supporter Data Strategy, ensuring organisational alignment.
  2. Lead change management for data structure and process transitions.
  3. Establish data standards, core datasets, and migration procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
  4. Manage data cleansing policies during system migration and ongoing maintenance.
  5. Define data ownership roles and responsibilities, supporting CRM transformation.
  6. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Review and document marketing consent processes with data owners and Data Protection Officer.
  8. Coordinate with third-party partners on data cleansing and migration methodologies.
  9. Support professional development within the Data Team.
  10. Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful execution, managing risks and opportunities.
  11. Align data strategies across departments and share best practices.
  12. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge 7 and/or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential.

  10. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compliance Responsibilities

Accountability for Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Data Protection, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, and Quality. All staff must report potential breaches or improvements. The role requires a Basic DBS check.
