Overview

National Business Development Manager Nottingham

To deliver national growth focusing on new business within a variety of sectors across the UK, creating long-term value for the Group. Main focus being around the leading contractors within the construction, house build and social housing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  2. Create, develop and manage sales pipeline to identify current and future tender opportunities.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
  4. Collaborate with the national team to meet budget goals.
  5. Coordinate with the Bid Coordinator to prepare and submit PPQ and RFI responses, managing the tender process.
  6. Manage opportunities via the CRM System.
  7. Submit reports promptly as directed by the National Sales Manager.
  8. Attend sales meetings as scheduled.
  9. Understand the potential customer base thoroughly.
  10. Plan travel and meetings efficiently, managing time effectively.
  11. Monitor competitor activity and market conditions, reporting key developments and issues.
  12. Develop internal relationships, especially with the operational team, peers, and support functions, to maximize sales opportunities and resolve issues.
  13. Develop and communicate a compelling sales proposition.
  14. Conduct professional customer appointments to understand customer needs and maximize sales.
  15. Respond to sales inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  16. Achieve KPIs related to appointments, cold calls, and pipeline development.
