Overview
National Business Development Manager Nottingham
To deliver national growth focusing on new business within a variety of sectors across the UK, creating long-term value for the Group. Main focus being around the leading contractors within the construction, house build and social housing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Create, develop and manage sales pipeline to identify current and future tender opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
- Collaborate with the national team to meet budget goals.
- Coordinate with the Bid Coordinator to prepare and submit PPQ and RFI responses, managing the tender process.
- Manage opportunities via the CRM System.
- Submit reports promptly as directed by the National Sales Manager.
- Attend sales meetings as scheduled.
- Understand the potential customer base thoroughly.
- Plan travel and meetings efficiently, managing time effectively.
- Monitor competitor activity and market conditions, reporting key developments and issues.
- Develop internal relationships, especially with the operational team, peers, and support functions, to maximize sales opportunities and resolve issues.
- Develop and communicate a compelling sales proposition.
- Conduct professional customer appointments to understand customer needs and maximize sales.
- Respond to sales inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Achieve KPIs related to appointments, cold calls, and pipeline development.
