An opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager to join the team at Galliford Try.
You will work on our Scottish Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, experienced in delivering schemes of varying sizes, mainly for the Water Industry, across Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Ideally, you will be based in or around Dundee and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the region.
As Contracts Manager, you will be part of the Senior Management Team, delivering a programme of works across East Scotland, with responsibilities including reporting within Galliford Try and to the client, providing clear direction at all levels.
You will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the programme, developing strong contractual and financial controls with the Commercial team to ensure cost control and cash management.
You will manage project delivery outputs, including programme, financial position, health and safety, environmental performance, and progress for all schemes. Managing multiple projects concurrently to meet KPIs is essential.
This role involves liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, in-house teams, and site teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and client requirements are met. Flexibility, resilience, and relationship-building skills are crucial, along with strong ethical standards.
Entrepreneurial initiative is valued; you will develop new opportunities within the Framework and lead in pre-construction tenders, promoting continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring compliance with client standards.
Creating a safe and collaborative working environment prioritizing health and safety is a key responsibility.
You should possess industry-relevant ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ qualifications and extensive experience with NEC contracts in water/sewage industries. A CSCS card and IOSH or CITB SMSTS certification are required.
A high level of commercial awareness and technical operational knowledge is essential to make successful decisions.
