Job Opportunity: Porter

We are currently recruiting a Porter to join our client in Craigavon on a temporary ongoing basis.

Details:

• Temporary ongoing
• £12.21 - £22.34 per hour depending on shift
• 37.5 hours per week, 5 days from 7 including weekends and bank holidays, night shifts
• Immediate start

Job Duties:

1. Maintain a security presence within wards/departments as required.
2. Respond to security assistance requests from staff, patients, and visitors in priority order.
3. Patrol the buildings and grounds as necessary.
4. Stop and question suspicious or unauthorized persons, escort them from the building if necessary.
5. Restrain violent patients/visitors and contact police if required.
6. Escort staff to and from various locations as needed.
7. Monitor CCTV screens and respond to incidents.
8. Report untoward events, breaches of security, risks, hazards, and damages.
9. Record incidents on appropriate forms.

Portering Duties:

1. Messenger duties throughout the hospital.
2. Convey wheelchair patients within the hospital.
3. Transport bodies from wards to the mortuary.
4. Distribute supplies throughout the hospital.
5. Assist with moving furniture and equipment.

Must be flexible as shifts are based on a rota between Monday and Sunday.
