We are looking for a Night Porter to ensure the security of the hotel as a whole. To ensure the expected high standards of customer service, health & safety, cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the hotel as a whole. To assist guests and attend to their needs, cleaning duties as laid out by management.

About The Role

Main tasks and duties

· To maintain and adhere to company’s health and safety policies;

· To ensure facilities hygiene standards are maintained;

· To maintain and operate reception area to hotel standards;

· To ensure operation of the switchboard, dealing with all customer and telephone enquiries;

· To make periodic checks in all areas of the building throughout the night;

· To serve residents drinks from the night bar as requested;

· To ensure all residents receipts are attached to their bill;

· To complete the night audit as directed by management;

· To complete the back up of the hotel systems as directed;

· To collect guests newspapers as requested;

· To ensure all closing procedures and security are adhered to for the protection of staff and property and customers as a whole;

· To promote and sell the hotel and its products with a friendly and helpful manner;

· To deal and handle with customer complaints and requests;

· To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance;

· To attend training courses as and when necessary;

· To ensure effective communication to management and peers;

· To ensure correct set-up of the hotel for business next day as directed by management;

· To ensure that due care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, residents, members and any other persons on the premises;

· Report and where appropriate take action on any incident, fire, loss or damage;

· To report all maintenance issues and take appropriate action;

· Any other duties and responsibilities as requested by the management.
