Working Hours: Various shifts

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Porter in Belfast hospitals. As a vital member of our support services team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient and client support services within our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the safe transfer of patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Handle patient belongings and medical equipment with care and discretion.
  • Clean and maintain wheelchairs and other portering equipment.
  • Deliver and collect medical supplies, confidential files, and specimens between departments.
  • Participate in ward and office decants as directed.
  • Transport blood and blood products in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Assist with waste management duties, including transporting waste to disposal areas.

Post Duties:

  • Collect and deliver routine and urgent mail items, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Accept postage items from postal providers and courier delivery firms.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
