Main Purpose of Job

The successful candidate will be part of the Trust’s Marketing and Communications department, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Partnerships, the Communications Manager and the Content Creator, and will have a vital role in setting the brand identity for Brentford FC CST as we launch a new three-year strategy 2025-2028.

The role will suit someone with the skill set in creating imagery for print, digital and social media, working within Brentford FC and the Trust’s brand guidelines to support existing campaigns and on new exciting programmes. The candidate will have technical knowledge on Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Responsibilities

  • Graphic Designing: To produce editorial and community programme assets for both online and offline materials, design campaign assets across various channels, assist in creating graphics for online channels, and develop design solutions for collateral like social media graphics, website images, programme pages, and more.
  • Campaign Development: Participate in planning and development stages to ensure design and brand involvement maximizes campaign targets and fundraising goals.
  • Brand Consistency and Development: Ensure all outputs conform to brand guidelines and assist in maintaining the Trust's brand identity.
  • Departmental Interaction: Serve as the point of contact between departments and the Marketing and Communications team to understand needs and provide design solutions.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously using Monday CRM, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Events support: Support Trust’s events and fundraising initiatives, including weekend work if necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on all design outputs to meet standards and specifications.

Key Relationships

  • Internal: Marketing and Communications Department, other Trust departments.
  • External: Design and print vendors, external partners, funders, sponsors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educated to at least A-Level or equivalent with a minimum grade B in English GCSE or equivalent.
  • Qualifications in Graphic Design or Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of social media graphics and engagement strategies.
  • Understanding of themes in sport, especially football and sports for development.
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Proficiency in Motion Graphics and animations using After Effects.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
  • Skills in photography and videography.
  • Strong typography skills.
