Experience/Qualifications for a Building Services Manager

• Must have experience in a live retail environment.
• Ability to work with all relevant parties to produce and manage realistic design programmes and information schedules to facilitate design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Ensure all building services needs are met and reflected in the building and fabric, with information delivered promptly.
• Manage the design, drawings, and approvals process in line with the programme.
• Monitor progress against targets and assist the project management team in resource planning with specialist contractors.
• Manage the commissioning process and training to ensure all systems operate as designed, with validation teams satisfied and building users trained in operation.
• Attend client progress and technical meetings.
• Chair specialist design, progress, and commissioning meetings.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should have at least one of the following or an equivalent qualification:

• Technically qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical Trade within a consultancy, main contractor, or subcontractor management background.
• BTEC in Building Services Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Engineering.
• Electrical or Mechanical Building Services at HNC / HND level.
• Degree in Building Services Engineering.
