We’re looking for a Hydraulic Modeller to join our Risk Validation team, with responsibility for confirming model fitness for use to meet Severn Trent Water design standards and project-specific requirements.
In this role, you’ll evaluate wastewater network performance to identify new or validate existing risks and needs. Developing notional solutions for projects that will be passed to the capital delivery teams for feasibility and design, you’ll deliver improvements to Severn Trent Water’s wastewater network in line with the company’s business plan. Typical risks requiring validation include sewer flooding, growth, water framework directive / CSO performance, and sewage pumping station performance.
You’ll also assess project-specific hydraulic modelling requirements, including model audits/fitness for use assessments, model build and verification, and risk validation of catchment drivers.

This role is suitable for someone with Hydraulic Network Modelling experience.
You should have experience in wastewater network modelling using InfoWorks ICM or similar software, and in scoping projects including asset survey planning.
Competency in hydraulic modelling software and a thorough understanding of hydraulics and model limitations are essential.
You’ll need to be well-organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate data clearly to diverse audiences. A positive attitude and caring nature are valued qualities.
