Allen & York are collaborating with a specialist consultancy in flood risk, drainage, and water management, serving clients including property developers, renewable energy companies, legal firms, and planning consultants.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our expanding team. Your responsibilities will include developing hydraulic models for flood risk assessment, preparing fee proposals, and producing hydrological and hydraulic modelling reports.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Geography (with a physical focus), or related fields. You should have extensive experience with Flood Modeller (1D) and TUFLOW (2D), hydrological modelling in a UK-based consultancy, local authority, or government setting. Proficiency in hydrological flood estimation methods (WINFAP and ReFH2) and GIS is required. Experience in mentoring junior team members is desirable. An excellent communicator, organized, hardworking, and capable of working independently or collaboratively will thrive in this role.
Location flexibility is available: candidates can be based anywhere in the UK, with hybrid options for those near North Wales or flexible workspace arrangements elsewhere.
Preferred but not mandatory: holding a UK driving licence, a postgraduate degree, and being a Chartered Member of CIWEM or similar institution, or willingness to pursue chartership.
