The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Marketing Manager covering the Middle East region on behalf of Leonardo Electronics UK. The role includes the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the Sultanate of Oman. This position is key to the company's export growth through the discovery, initiation, and support of active and strategic marketing and sales campaigns.

What You Will Do

  1. Lead the new business winning plan for the Middle East
  2. Work closely with UK Sales Teams in focused and successful Business Winning activities
  3. Provide the latest marketing intelligence to support sales opportunities
  4. Establish good close working relationships with the End User/Customer community
  5. Build strong relationships with Government staff in DBT DSE and embassies
  6. Manage existing and new advisor/local partner contracts
  7. Attend Middle East exhibitions and conferences
  8. Maintain close coordination with the company’s regional corporate offices
  9. Lead a marketing strategy for local collaboration with in-country industrial partners

What We Need From You

  1. A proven track record of proactive management and leadership working with diverse teams towards common business goals
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. Good knowledge of the Middle East market, politics, culture, and local behaviors
  4. Agility and responsiveness to End Users/Customers requests (may be out of hours)
  5. A strong understanding of Leonardo Electronics UK products and services (current or potential)
  6. Experience in discovering, qualifying, and translating market opportunities into winning business
  7. Ability to operate effectively with customers and stakeholders at various seniority levels
  8. Persistence, pragmatism, and a structured approach to tasks and teams with different objectives
