Job description

Job Role: HGV Technician

Location: Worcester, Worcestershire

Salary: GBP38,000 - GBP40,000 per annum (GBP18-GBP19ph) + 2x Sundays

Hours: Monday-Friday (Weekly Rotations) 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 + 1 in 2 Saturdays 06:00-12:00

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair of HGVs, diagnosing complex technical issues and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert recommendations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Provide training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the HGV industry (essential)
• Experience working with hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems (essential)
• Experience working on engines (advantageous)
• Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience
• Full UK Drivers License
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
• A desire to lead, manage, and grow a team
