Job summary

VodafoneThree is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead end-to-end design for major network and IT initiatives, blending strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You will work across Network and IT, translating business needs into scalable architectures, ensuring security and regulatory compliance, and guiding governance forums.

With hybrid working in Newbury and UK-wide impact, you will influence stakeholders and deliver market-leading connectivity.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in end-to-end solution architecture in telecoms or large tech environments.
• Strong understanding of network and IT architecture principles, governance and systems integration.
• Ability to influence and engage stakeholders and deliver optimized technical solutions.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi-domain technical projects.
• Experience producing, reviewing and assuring TRS and HLSD documentation.
• Deep expertise across telecoms networks and IT systems with domain knowledge in RAN/Core/BSS/OSS.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for major network and IT initiatives.
• Guide pre-project activities including bids, consultancy engagements, and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with architects and specialists to secure governance approvals.
• Translate business requirements into scalable architectures that are operationally ready.
• Oversee artefacts like Technology Requirement Specifications and High-Level Service Designs.
• Support domain teams in creating detailed designs while maintaining end-to-end view.
• Identify technical risks, evaluate options, and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure solutions meet security, regulatory, operational and architectural standards.
• Foster collaboration across Network, IT and business teams to achieve shared outcomes.
• Champion continuous improvement in design quality and delivery practices.
