Band 7 Clinical/Educational Psychologist

About the Role:
As a Band 7 Clinical/Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in delivering behavior support and psychological therapy to both residential and day students. This role is suitable for new/recently qualified Clinical/Educational Psychologists.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with an established clinical team, including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Behaviour Support Nurse, Assistant Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietician, and Physiotherapist.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) models and maintain close links with the wider PBS community in Wales.
- Provide behaviour support and psychological therapy in accordance with Autism frameworks and guidelines from the Welsh Government and NICE.
- Contribute to the development of creative adaptations to therapeutic strategies, including but not limited to CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
- Engage in regular coproduction of therapeutic materials with students.
- Support staff teams and collaborate with carers and family members using DDP and attachment-focused approaches.
- Contribute to staff training in trauma-informed practices to create relationally secure environments for students.
- Uphold a culture of care, empowering students and promoting the development of skills and strengths within the least restrictive environment.
Requirements:
- Qualification as a Clinical or Educational Psychologist and HCPC registered.
- Interest and skills in working alongside and supporting multidisciplinary team staff.
- Commitment to evidence-based and model-adherent psychological provisions.
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and coproduction with students.
- Ability to provide comprehensive assessments and interventions under the supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
- Desire to develop supervision skills with Assistant Psychologists and/or Trainee placements.
