Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to increasing access to Adult Mental Health (AMH) Clinical Psychology and Psychological services in North Wales. You will join a friendly, welcoming, and expanding NHS secondary care AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological services Department, with strong clinical and research links with the School of Psychology and the DClinPsych Department at the University of Wales, Bangor.
The post holder will benefit from BCUHB-wide links across North Wales within the AMH Clinical Psychology & Psychological Services, with opportunities for research and clinical networking across North Wales and Wales. You will be supported, mentored, and managed within the department, with ongoing peer support, supervision, and opportunities for training and career development.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking qualified and experienced 8a (Band 7 development post possible) Clinical Psychologists, based in Denbighshire CMHT. This is a permanent 8a position, working as part of integrated secondary mental health services for adults with complex and severe mental health needs. The role involves collaborative work with CMHT colleagues, providing specialist psychological expertise, direct clinical work, supervision, training, and formulation work. Attendance at MDT meetings, referral meetings (SPOA), and strategic and clinical leadership activities are also expected.
This is an excellent time to join our team, with Welsh language skills being desirable but not essential. English and Welsh speakers are equally encouraged to apply.
