Job Description:

North Lincolnshire Council has a vacancy for a Principal Quantity Surveyor (Projects).

This role is responsible for providing high-quality, professional Quantity Surveying services to support the delivery of the Council's construction works programmes across the full lifecycle of projects.

You should have a proven track record in delivering high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services across the project lifecycle, experience with NEC contracts, and a degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying. Professional qualification (RICS or similar) is preferred, but experience may be considered in lieu of qualification.

You should possess extensive knowledge of legislation, regulations related to construction, contract law, construction contracts, tendering, and procurement. Experience at a senior level in a Quantity Surveying or cost management environment is essential, along with the ability to provide high-quality professional services supporting the Council’s construction projects.

This role requires the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a busy, changing environment. Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills are essential.

The position offers opportunities for hybrid working and involves site visits across North Lincolnshire.
