Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Engineer to assist with the inspection, repair, and maintenance of all products supplied by Ace Aquatec. This includes acoustic and electric marine mammal protection devices, electric stunning systems, 3D biomass cameras, and sea lice removal systems.

There will be an element of travel required for this role, including periods away from home. Your time will be split between the workshop in Dundee and customer sites in the UK and globally. The ability to respond to service and support issues at short notice is also required.

Prior experience in a field service role in the aquaculture, agriculture, marine, or offshore industries would be beneficial.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Install, repair, and maintain Ace Aquatec's equipment
2. Be a supportive and knowledgeable representative of Ace Aquatec when visiting customers
3. Partner with the Technical Support team to ensure quick resolution of technical inquiries and equipment failures
4. Record and update field service tickets in Jira Service Management system
5. Provide technical support to colleagues in Sales and Marketing teams
6. Support colleagues and suppliers with new product development projects

The Skills And Experience You Need

1. A recognised Electrical and/or Electronics Qualification
2. Experience in mechanical engineering is desirable but not essential
3. Experience in industrial electronic/electrical roles; both in field and workshop environments
4. Methodical fault-finding skills
5. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
6. Experience in a customer support or similar customer-facing role
7. Close attention to detail regarding assembly of equipment designed for harsh conditions
8. Small hand-tool and multi-meter experience is desirable
9. Stimulated by problem-solving and finding better ways of working
10. Experience with MS Office and good IT skills
11. Full Driving License
