Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in electrical engineering is preferred.
• Recognized HSE training is essential for safety compliance.
• Ability to conduct inspections and repairs in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete periodic inspection reports for filling stations.
• Certify hazardous areas and electrical installations.
• Conduct fault finding and maintenance works as needed.

Our Test and Inspection Engineers help ensure that electrical installations on both new and existing forecourts meet the required safety and compliance standards for potentially hazardous environments, conducting thorough inspections of electrical equipment and verifying each item is built to the appropriate specifications and is free from defects. What you'll do:

Following the clients specific H&S requirements you will complete filling station (electrical) periodic inspection reports, installation condition reports and any remedial works required following inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Certify the following: Petrol filling station Hazardous Areas and similar installations, electrical Installations (Retail & Commercial), electric vehicle service equipment installations
• Fault finding and repair of electrical equipment
• Conduct remedial and maintenance works when required

The following skills and abilities will set you up for success:

• Knowledge of working in hazardous areas and retail installations is essential
• Able to read & understand design drawings & panel schematics
• Ability to understand test readings obtained and identify defects
• Safety conscious with recognised HSE training
• Experience in a similar role (preferably 2-3 years)
• Confident arranging own workload and liasing directly with clients to notify of site attendance
• Knowledge of filling station installations & procedures and /or e lectric vehicle equipment is a big plus!
• Comfortable with MS Office, in particular Excel.
• Full clean Driving License
• C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection (or equivalent)
• ECS Gold Card in Date
• CSCS Card in Date

Additional Certification (training can be provided for the right candidate)

• C&G 2921-34 - Electric Vehicle Charging Installations or equivalent
• CompEx (7&8 or 1-4)
• BS:7671:2018 As Amended
• UKPIA
