Job summary
We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and committed individuals to join the Radiology's senior management team as the Head of Nuclear Medicine. The post holder will provide leadership, advice, and strategic direction for the Nuclear Medicine services and also work as a Consultant Clinical Scientist.
You will work closely with the Directorate Management Team, superintendents, and senior colleagues to ensure a patient-focused, safe, efficient, and cost-effective service that meets current and future patient needs.
This role requires line management of a designated team, budget management, assistance in delivering access, activity, and financial targets, and close monitoring of clinical governance issues.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering high-quality Nuclear Medicine services at the St Thomas' site, Guy's site, Guy's Cancer Centre, and Evelina Children's Hospital.

The post holder will be a Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of Service for Nuclear Medicine, also part of the Clinical Imaging and Medical Physics leadership team.
Responsibilities include developing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating high-quality, safe, effective, and efficient Nuclear Medicine services, ensuring excellence in response to scientific and clinical demands, aligned with the trust's strategic goals.
You will provide leadership, operational management, and high standards of care through risk management and governance, ensuring the service meets key performance indicators and supports service development, education, and research initiatives.
The role involves representing the service internally and externally, managing departmental budgets and resources, leading business planning, and participating in research and development programs.
