Job Title: Project Manager - Main Civil Works

Contract Type: Full time, permanent

Location: London: Minimum 3 days a week in the office or Avonmouth office in Bristol (with occasional travel to Suffolk). Please note that this role will eventually become site-based, with offices located in Ipswich, Suffolk in 2026*

Salary: From £78,949 depending on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

About the Role:

Are you an experienced Project Manager passionate about civil engineering and large-scale infrastructure? Join Sizewell C as a Project Manager in our Civil Works Programme. You will drive engineering delivery by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and manage key contracts to ensure the successful construction of the nuclear power plant.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team, Responsible Designer (RD), quality team, and suppliers.
  • Develop strategies for delivering scopes up to £50m, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality targets are met.
  • Manage interfaces to ensure coordinated design and delivery.
  • Prepare and manage contracts, including terms & conditions, appendices, and specifications.
  • Implement site-specific design changes and replicate HPC design elements.
  • Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into project execution.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree and Chartered status in Project Management, Construction, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience managing major projects from concept to handover.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry and formal project management qualifications are desirable.
