Salary: £36,408 (including £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Work Pattern: Flexible working options available, including full-time, part-time, and compressed hours. Approximately 20% home working may be possible depending on business needs.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will work with a close-knit team to defend our organization against various cyber threats, including malware, insider threats, DDoS attacks, and phishing. Your responsibilities include detecting, responding to, and mitigating risks, analyzing alerts, logs, network traffic, and endpoint data using tools like Splunk, developing detection content, and applying threat intelligence to enhance security. You will also have opportunities to engage in Digital Forensics to support security incidents. The role involves unique scenarios due to the nature of our work, making it distinct from private sector cybersecurity roles.
You should have a passion for IT and cybersecurity, experience with scripting, familiarity with Windows and Linux OS, and knowledge of Python. An interest in developing skills in AWS and Azure is desirable. Candidates need a cybersecurity certification or foundation-level education (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, OffSec, SOC200, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH) or at least 6 months of experience in a cybersecurity role. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
We offer in-house and external training, including industry-recognized certifications from SANS and OFFSEC. You will be paired with a mentor, gain hands-on experience, and have opportunities to attend conferences and stay updated on cybersecurity innovations. Travel opportunities are available but not mandatory.
Starting salary of £36,408 plus benefits such as 25-30 days annual leave, public holidays, performance recognition, interest-free season ticket loans, pension scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, on-site facilities, and paid parental/adoption leave.
