Job description

Salary - Up to £45,000 depending on experience

Please note: This is a remote role; however, travel to our school sites may be required.

Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our friendly, dedicated team. You will monitor and investigate complex data to identify threats and vulnerabilities, and provide incident response.

You will also help develop, maintain, and deliver cybersecurity awareness training for colleagues. Additionally, you'll maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits related to information security.

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of one year’s experience as an IT Security Analyst
  • Experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems
  • Knowledge of security tools including anti-virus, content filtering, firewalls, authentication, and intrusion detection systems
  • Extensive skills in Azure and related applications
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus software, authentication, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Experience with multiple operating systems such as Windows and Linux
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems

Desirable but not essential:

  • Knowledge of security protocols and principles
  • Experience with Data Security Protection Toolkit
  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures
  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • Postgraduate qualification in IT-related field
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • BSc in Computer Science or related field
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
