Job Description:

Automation Sales Specialist – Business Development Manager

Senior sales role – a solutions expert with a strong network and understanding of automation sales, materials handling, and machinery for head count reduction across various verticals.

Salary: Negotiable £65,000 - £75,000 plus excellent OTE!

This is a six-figure senior sales role, offering a car or allowance and 33 days holiday!

Location: Midlands / UK / On the Road

100% new business senior sales position – seeking an experienced automation sales professional who desires scope, freedom, and high earning potential!

Role involves field sales, proactive technical selling, and on-the-road activity in Rugby, with opportunities for online engagement.

Focus on high-quality bespoke solutions, cross-selling group services, revenue generation, new account acquisition, and account development.

Ideal candidate has experience in selling automation solutions into UK manufacturing, with a focus on business development and entrepreneurial, self-starting mindset.

Based at Warwickshire HQ (SME Group UK Manufacturer with £30M turnover).

Candidate Requirements:
  • Over 5 years of selling technical/automated engineering solutions into UK manufacturing
  • Existing contacts within Automotive, Construction, or Manufacturing sectors
  • Field sales experience with a hunter mentality for new business
  • Positive, driven personality with a strong work ethic
  • Mechanical qualification is a plus but not essential
  • Ability to communicate effectively with target customers
  • Self-motivated, transparent, down-to-earth, and a strong communicator
  • Reporting to the Sales Director

Role involves providing engineered automation solutions with opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
