The purpose of this role is to assist GPs and the nursing team in delivering safe, high-quality primary care services to the practice population. The post holder will undertake delegated tasks under indirect supervision of the practice GP and nursing team, working within clear parameters and lines of accountability after appropriate training and competence assessment. The competence requirements align with Band 3 of the District and General Practice Nursing Service Education and Career Framework (Health Education England).
Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with practice policies, ensuring privacy and data protection at all times.
Promote health and safety in the workplace, follow security procedures, identify and report risks, maintain tidy and hazard-free work areas, and adhere to infection control protocols.
This role is subject to a DBS check, in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
