Job description

The Respiratory Medicine directorate has an exciting opportunity to join the diverse and friendly admin team as a Senior Trust Medical Secretary. The department incorporates areas such as lung cancer, sleep, interstitial lung disease, emphysema, cystic fibrosis, oxygen, COPD, tuberculosis; as well as outpatient services, respiratory investigation unit, lung function lab, and inpatient care, all collaboratively managed by clinical, nursing, and administrative teams.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and organized individual to join our vibrant and supportive team. If you enjoy a busy environment, working methodically with attention to detail, and can work flexibly, we want to hear from you!

As Post Holder You Will
  1. Be a member of a large, dynamic admin team, providing a crucial first point of contact for patients, relatives, and diverse staff including clinicians, nurses, and administrative personnel.
  2. Handle patient contact efficiently and effectively.
  3. Work well autonomously and as part of a team.
  4. Maintain knowledge of Trust and national policies.
  5. Gain experience in respiratory sub-specialties and provide high-quality secretarial support.
