Our Systems Insights & Solutions team are looking for exceptional Systems Engineering Consultants with experience across sectors such as Defence and Security, Public Services, Transport, Energy, and Utilities. You will work in blended teams, partnering with specialists from across PA to turn complex, dynamic, and interconnected challenges into opportunities. You will apply proven Systems Engineering and System Thinking techniques to address complex problems spanning organizations and disciplines (people, process, information, technology).

Our success is driven by our ability to understand problem and solution spaces, from business needs to component design, leveraging the knowledge of our diverse team. We combine expertise in Systems Engineering and Systems Thinking to develop practical and innovative systems for real-world strategic issues. Our services include: Decision & Planning Support, System of Systems & Enterprise Design, Complex Engineering Delivery, and Systems Analysis & Resilience. Our deep expertise and collaborative approach ensure impactful outcomes.

Recent projects include:

• Setting up an enterprise to counter online crime involving law enforcement, regulators, and social media firms.
• Designing and procuring UK MOD’s future satellite communications services.
• Creating international collaborations for next-generation fighter jets.
• Embedding systems approach in capability management and architecture for UK Defence.

As a Systems Insights and Solutions Consultant, you will work on projects with real impact, delivering innovative solutions. Examples include:

• Optimizing mixed technical-digital systems and Operational Technology in Defence.
• Using MBSE for architecture and design.
• Applying organizational design methodologies for new ways of working.
• Designing systems frameworks and governance models for capability procurement.
• Developing advanced transport solutions aligned with societal needs.
• Implementing AI and machine learning to enhance data analysis and engineering delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in applying Systems Engineering and Systems Thinking to solve complex client challenges.
• Strong analytical skills with creative and abstract thinking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client engagement and presentation.
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle in an engineering enterprise.

Desirable Attributes

• Expertise in solution definition, system boundaries, and stakeholder identification.
• Experience with system of systems projects.
• Proficiency with modeling and architecture tools and frameworks.
• Experience in process improvement and tailoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Confidence working independently as a client point of contact.
