Job Opportunity: Prompt Engineer

Rate: £450/day outside IR35

Our client is a global company seeking a talented prompt engineer with expertise in:

• Deep Python skills, LLMs or SSMs, NLP libraries like NLTK, SpaCy, or TextBlob
• Prompt engineering techniques such as zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, and meta-prompting

Required experience includes:

• Strong data preparation and analysis skills for AI models
• Proven track record in building and testing AI prompts
• Crafting target prompts for AI chatbots
• Writing Python functions to interface with APIs, including OpenAI’s chat completions API
• Applying persona-driven prompt techniques with system messages
• Managing conversational context and token economy
• Designing sequential, step-by-step tasks for LLMs
• Evaluating AI responses to iteratively improve prompts
• Following and extending prompt engineering cookbooks
• Enabling the development of agentic workflows
• Using long context prompting for chain-of-thought reasoning
• Following instructions meticulously
• Generating structured JSON data outputs
