We are looking for a Head of Operations to join the team and lead the operational delivery of our Technology and Innovation Group (TIG). The role involves aligning operations with key business objectives, including portfolio planning, management, and the delivery of technology initiatives to achieve business goals and key results.
Main Duties
- Operational Leadership & Execution: Oversee and manage the daily operations of TIG, ensuring seamless execution of key initiatives. Drive operational efficiency, optimize workflows, and foster a high-performance culture.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Act as a central communication point across TIG and Williams Racing, ensuring alignment and effective collaboration between teams.
- Governance & Operating Model: Define and maintain the team’s operating model, governance structures, and delivery frameworks for accountability and efficiency.
- Portfolio & Programme Management: Lead project prioritization and execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timely delivery, and budget adherence. Implement agile methodologies where appropriate.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Oversee third-party relationships, manage contract negotiations, and ensure service providers meet team goals.
- Budgeting & Resource Management: Manage financial planning and resource allocation, ensuring cost efficiency within regulatory constraints.
- Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Establish and monitor KPIs, drive improvement initiatives, and ensure service standards are met or exceeded.
- Crisis & Risk Management: Serve as the key contact for crisis situations, ensuring rapid response and proactive risk mitigation.
- OKR Alignment & Tracking: Align department OKRs with organizational strategy, track progress, and measure success effectively.
Skills And Experience Required
- Proven leadership experience in technology strategy, operations, or portfolio management.
- Success in managing complex vendor relationships and driving service improvements.
- Good understanding of software, data, and AI.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills for cross-functional alignment.
- Experience with service frameworks, KPIs, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially within technology or motorsport contexts.
