HR Manager – Shape the Culture of London’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Opening

Nela London is getting ready to open its doors atThe Whiteley—one of the capital’s most iconic redevelopments. With the same live-fire cooking, bold flavours, and warm hospitality that madeNela Amsterdama success, we’re building something special in the heart of the city.

We’re now looking for an experiencedHuman Resources Managerto join us during the pre-opening phase and play a key role in setting the people foundations for our 90+ team.

This is your chance to shape the culture from day one—working directly with the founders and leadership team to build a workplace that values excellence, care, and individuality.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support full pre-opening HR setup, from contracts and compliance to staff onboarding Create and implement SOPs, policies, and team handbooks
• Lead recruitment coordination in partnership with department heads
• Organise and deliver structured training and induction programmes
• Be a point of contact for staff wellbeing, performance, and ongoing development
• Manage payroll, holiday tracking, and employee records
• Ensure full compliance with UK employment law and health & safety requirements Help build a positive, people-first culture across all departments

What We’re Looking For

• Proven HR experience in hospitality or a fast-paced people environment CIPD qualified
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes and first hand experience with launching a restaurant from scratch and New Openings
• Comfortable working in a standalone role and taking initiative
• Experience supporting openings or large-scale team setups a plus
• Confident communicator who can engage all levels of the business
• Hands-on, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
