Job description

Capel Manor College is now looking to appoint a Team Leader in Animal Management to join its team.

Our School of Animal Management offers a wide range of courses, including:

1. Level 1 Introduction to Animal Care
2. Level 2 Animal Care Technical Diploma
3. Level 3 Animal Management Extended Diploma

We also offer Access to Higher Education Diplomas in Veterinary Science and Animal Science and Welfare, a Keeper and Aquarist apprenticeship, and run Higher Education courses in Animal Management, Zoology, and Biodiversity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing, and developing a curriculum area within the department. They will work collaboratively with staff to foster a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promote high standards of teaching and learning, and ensure high levels of student achievement, progression, and value-added outcomes. The Team Leader will also act as Lead Internal Verifier, ensuring compliance with all quality assurance procedures, and actively promote innovative teaching methods responsive to student and industry needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a HND, degree, or similar qualification in a science or animal-related discipline.
