Location Overview

The Team:

Team of Trading Assistants covering initial trade bookings across multiple asset class, across EMEA FX and Emerging Markets Trading business. Ensuring all trade capture is accurately reflected within Traders live risk engine. Furthermore, investigating all front to back enquires and executing all necessary trade amendments.

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Trading Assistant to cover multiple asset class trade bookings and amendments for FX and Emerging Markets Trading desks. Sitting on our trading floor, this role is well suited to a conscientious, hardworking, and motivated candidate seeking the opportunity to work closely with Global Markets Front Office and internal/external counterparties across multiple asset classes. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the desk with all trading activities with additional focus on regulatory obligations, product enablement and ad-hoc problem solving across a broad range of FICC products and markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the front office with trade booking and ensures trades are captured accurately within front office risk systems.
  • Responsible for trade capture & validation, adhering to the necessary regulatory framework
  • Monitors and processes time sensitive requests relating to initial trade bookings and subsequent amendments.
  • Resolves risk and P&L issues in a timely manner in collaboration with front office teams
  • Addresses client issues in partnership with sales and client management teams
  • Develops cross-asset product knowledge.
  • Partners with existing teams globally to achieve the best in class risk and controls practices

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with Fixed Income derivative products, ranging across FX, Rates and Structured products, preferably from a Trading Support or other Front Office facing role
  • Working knowledge of current regulatory landscape (SFTR, MIFID2, CSDR)
  • Inquisitive and analytical mindset
  • Ability to prioritise multiple demands

Skills that will help:

  • Excellent Operational Risk awareness & understanding of the importance of robust internal controls
  • Ability to work diligently and independently, drive to ensure necessary work is completed to a high standard
  • Technology literacy: competent user of MS Excel, Bloomberg and standard industry platforms (e.g MarketWire, TradeWeb etc)
