Membership Sales Consultant - Full Time Contract

Purpose & Scope
We are looking for someone who loves to sell and enjoys communicating with people via phone, email, and in person. You thrive on hitting targets and contribute to growing our community of Changemakers. Supported by the Membership Head of Department and other teams, you will focus on membership acquisition activities such as Open Days, 121 tours, and more.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in membership sales, business development, community building for referrals, or similar roles. You should also possess:
- Charisma and confidence in communication, with a can-do attitude and a love for building rapport to close sales
- An entrepreneurial spirit, quick to spot new opportunities to increase sales and improve systems
- Motivation by targets and the enjoyment of the sales 'buzz'
- A keen desire to understand client needs and an interest in social business for social, environmental, and economic impact
- Enthusiasm for The Conduit’s mission and understanding of the Membership Club market
Responsibilities & Key Duties
- Represent The Conduit to individuals from diverse backgrounds, explaining how they can impact change with us
- Drive membership acquisition strategies with the Head of Membership, including budgeting for growth
- Conduct tours with potential members
- Handle outbound and inbound calls, building rapport, closing sales, and identifying target sectors
- Support in achieving membership growth forecasts aligned with demographics
- Design and participate in activities to attract new members, such as Open Days and outreach events
- Engage members to increase visibility and organic growth through referrals
- Assist in developing a pipeline of corporate membership targets
- Maintain and segment the CRM to identify new opportunities
- Support inclusive member recruitment and demographic balance
- Participate in onboarding new members
- Help develop corporate outreach strategies and maintain a pipeline of targets
- Support the renewal process to meet renewal rate targets
- Promote The Conduit’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy
- Perform additional tasks as required by business needs

- 2-5 years of sales experience or equivalent
- Experience with KPIs and targets in sales roles
- CRM experience preferred (PeopleVine training provided)
- Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are a plus

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
