Are you a technically skilled sales professional with a background and knowledge in compressed air? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Area Sales Manager to join a leading global company involved in the manufacture and sale of components and systems for compressed air and compressed gas technology.

The Role

As a key member of the field sales team, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships across the Midlands. This is a hybrid role that blends sales, customer service, and occasional service/aftermarket support as the territory develops. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their operational needs and deliver tailored compressed air treatment solutions.

  1. Develop and execute account plans to drive growth within your territory.
  2. Maximise sales revenue from both new and existing customers.
  3. Build strong, value-led relationships with decision-makers.
  4. Promote both standard and configured products, as well as new product launches.
  5. Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  6. Maintain accurate CRM records including call planning and reports.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service and technical support where required.
  8. Participate in exhibitions, sales meetings, and training events.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in compressed air treatment or industrial gas solutions (essential).

Strong background in technical field sales or technical account management.

Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.

Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Self-motivated and proactive with strong business development skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience with SAP and CRM systems is advantageous.
