Job description

Job Title: HR Administrator

Location: HMP Parc

Type: Permanent - Full Time (40 hours per week)

About the Role

Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, our prisons aim to rehabilitate offenders and facilitate their reintegration into society. We prioritize creating a safe environment that reflects life outside, emphasizing dignity and respect in staff-prisoner relationships. HMP & YOI Parc houses 1038 male adult prisoners and young offenders in a secure, modern setting.

We are seeking an HR Administrator to support our HR team by providing administrative assistance, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies, and managing the monthly payroll for directly employed staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the smooth operation of the onsite HR department.
  • Handle HR inquiries professionally, escalating as necessary.
  • Conduct Security Vetting interviews as a trained Vetting Contact Point (VCP).
  • Prepare standard correspondence and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, GDPR-compliant paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Support team activities such as meetings, sick reports, and minute-taking.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Produce and distribute HR data, statistics, and reports.
  • Develop effective work systems and ensure professional handling of all documentation.
  • Organize meetings, diaries, and events.
  • Support recruitment activities and other administrative tasks.
  • Assist managers with first-line sickness and welfare meetings.

Possesses excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively in a team under pressure. Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.
