Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the primary function of the HR Advisor role is to provide an effective and robust Employee Relations Advisory service. You will operate as part of the Health Assessment Services (HAS) team, working alongside the wider HR teams and in close collaboration with management across HAS.

The role will be embedded within the HAS business and supported by the central HR team.

Occasional travel to HAS sites in Yorkshire and Northeast England may be required.

Working part-time, for example, 3 or 4 days a week (including a Friday), or from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing performance and conduct matters, including capability and disciplinary procedures, probation management, investigations, documentation, and attendance at meetings.
  • Advising employees and managers on resolving conflicts and grievances, conducting investigations, preparing documentation, attending hearings, and facilitating mediation where relevant.
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and providing recommendations to improve retention.
  • Providing HR policy and procedure advice to the business.
  • Assisting with structural changes, including consultations and employee relocations.
  • Collaborating with L&D to identify development needs and implement training solutions.
  • Reporting on people metrics in line with contractual KPIs.
  • Participating in HR projects as required.
