Durham County Council is seeking a Senior Lawyer (Regulatory & Enforcement) to lead and guide a legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing casework, and ensuring compliance with legal standards. WHAT IS INVOLVED?
The post holder will be experienced in an area of work covered by the team (Planning, Licensing, Litigation) and responsible for assisting in providing leadership and direction to the team, including completing Performance and Development Reviews; providing supervision, guidance to staff, and deputising for the Legal Manager. The successful applicant will undertake some casework appropriate to the role.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You must be a qualified solicitor, barrister, CILEx Litigator, or Chartered Legal Executive Advocate with a current practising certificate issued by the relevant regulatory body.
