Following the award of an Economic and Social Research Council large grant, Lancaster University is seeking to appoint a Project Coordinator to work in the new Centre for Corpus Linguistic Approaches to Safeguarding Studies (CLASS). The successful candidate will assist in managing the £2,500,000 project, which aims to address contemporary questions in safeguarding and child protection research.

The role involves supporting the project lead at Lancaster, Professor Lauren Devine, with administrative duties such as scheduling, managing diaries, arranging meetings (in person and online), travel, and accommodation. The coordinator will liaise with the procurement team and other university departments to ensure timely processing of expenses and invoices, organize project management and advisory board meetings, and coordinate the production and circulation of papers and event materials. Additionally, the role includes liaising with external partners, Co-Investigators at other universities, and supporting a research administrator at Aston University.
Applicants should have experience providing administrative support in a university or research environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop effective relationships with external colleagues and the public.
The position is available from 1st August 2024 for initially one year, with the possibility of extension.
The appointment is at Grade 5, with a salary range of £25,138 - £28,759. Typically, appointments are made at the bottom of the scale.
