Supporting the Property Project Managers in the delivery of new store projects, JD Gyms, and the ongoing refurbishment and development of the JD Group Global HQ.
The role focuses on ensuring projects stay within the timeline and that key stakeholders are kept informed of progress. It supports our remit to act as a centre of excellence to drive estate standards to a market-leading level.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Project Manager and liaising with the Property department, supporting management of the end-to-end project cycle for our retail stores, JD Gyms across the UK, and HQ campus improvements.
- Coordinating efforts of JD Group Designers, Project teams, and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
- Monitoring and tracking the approved capital budget for each project.
- Liaising with Group health and safety specialists to ensure best practices are followed.
- Striving for excellence in all processes within the project and design teams, continually reviewing and developing improvements.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge needed:
- Some experience or relevant internships in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic understanding of business and production processes.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Resilience and willingness to learn.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
- A valid driving license, as travel across the UK may be required.
- Willingness to develop a deeper understanding of the business and contribute to an exciting period in the development of our stores, gyms, and the JD Campus.
