Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £36,408 (including £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Working Arrangements: Flexible working options available, including full-time, part-time, and compressed hours. Up to 20% home working depending on business needs.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will collaborate with a close-knit team to defend against cyber threats such as malware, insider threats, DDoS attacks, and phishing. Your responsibilities include detecting, responding to, and mitigating risks, analyzing alerts, logs, and network traffic using tools like Splunk, and developing detection content. You will also leverage threat intelligence to enhance security measures and may support digital forensics during security incidents. The role offers unique challenges due to the nature of national security work.
You should have a passion for IT and cybersecurity, experience with scripting, and knowledge of Windows and Linux OS. Familiarity with Python and an interest in AWS and Azure are desirable. Candidates must hold a foundational cybersecurity certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or have at least 6 months experience in cybersecurity. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Salary: £36,408 plus benefits including 25-30 days annual leave, public holidays, performance recognition, season ticket loan, pension scheme, cycle scheme, onsite facilities, and parental leave.
