The Role

We are seeking a Work-Based Coach with strong industry experience in IT, networking, or digital infrastructure to support apprentices on their journey to becoming confident, job-ready professionals. You will help learners build essential skills, support their progress, and prepare them for industry roles.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide 1:1 and group coaching aligned with apprenticeship standards and workplace roles.
  2. Guide apprentices from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
  3. Offer contextual support to apply learning in real-world scenarios.
  4. Track and report on learner progress and skills development.
  5. Collaborate with employers and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  6. Deliver coaching remotely or in-person as required.
Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Proven industry experience in IT support, networking, or infrastructure (e.g., 1st/2nd/3rd line, network admin/engineer, cybersecurity, service desk).
  • Knowledge of hardware, networking, security, cloud services, or troubleshooting.
  • Awareness of AI tools, automation, and agent-based systems.
  • Passion for developing others with excellent coaching and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience in apprenticeships, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and EPA process.
  • Relevant assessor or teaching qualifications (e.g., A1, CAVA, PTLLS).
