IT Tester at Marlowe Environmental Services

We are seeking an IT Tester to join our IT Team at Marlowe Environmental Services. You will be responsible for creating testing roadmaps for core applications, ensuring successful project delivery through comprehensive end-to-end testing, including system integrations as needed.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a UK-leading business in testing and compliance services. You will support legacy systems while also testing new applications, helping to streamline and improve our application delivery process. The position is full-time with hybrid working from our office in Fazeley, Tamworth, requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week.

Key Duties:

• Create UAT training materials to facilitate process and customer journey testing.
• Troubleshoot issues to maintain product quality and system reliability.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle for projects and daily sprints.
• Develop and execute test strategies, including performance, security, failure mode, operational readiness, and SLA testing.
• Perform manual and automated testing, maintaining regression test packs.
• Collaborate with teams, analyze test results, document findings, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Essential Skills:

• At least 3 years of software testing experience with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in drafting test strategies, plans, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and automated testing for web and APIs.

Beneficial Skills:

• Knowledge of Microsoft/Azure fundamentals (MS-900, AZ-900).
• Experience with firewall configuration (e.g., SonicWALL).
• Familiarity with governance frameworks (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials).
• Proficiency in Windows Server (physical, virtual, and cloud).
• Experience with system migrations and decommissioning.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and workload management.
