Role : Data Engineer & Analytics -Practice Lead

Location : London and Reading Area

Emp Type : 9 Months [FTC] or 6 Months [Contract]

Work Mode : Hybrid London/Reading area [1 -2 days a week work at office]

What's this role about?

As a Data Engineering & Analytics practice lead, you will be responsible for growth, technical thought leadership, and providing advisory on analytics environments leveraging Cloud platforms, big data technologies, and integration with existing data platforms.

You will drive solution design, effort estimation, technical architecture, and direction for the AWS/Snowflake Data Engineering and analytics practice. This includes designing scalable data architectures, ensuring data security, privacy, governance, and metadata management, and leading projects with solution/IP leadership.

You will lead multiple competencies within data engineering & analytics, guiding teams on technologies and planning solutions to present to customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end ownership of Snowflake Data & Analytics solution design and practice development.
• Responding to client RFI, RFP with technical solutions and cost estimates.
• Understanding customer requirements and creating technical propositions.
• Developing technical project roadmaps and strategies.
• Leading analyst briefings and presentations.
• Managing technical solution development and project delivery.
• Developing best practices and estimating efforts.
• Leading and mentoring practice teams.

Skills required:

• 13-18 years of Data and Analytics experience.
• 10+ years in AWS data platform (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Sagemaker, Quicksight, MLOPS).
• Snowflake DWH architecture, data sharing, Snowpipe, data governance.
• Knowledge of Python, Streamlit, Matillion, DBT, Atlan, Terraform, Kubernetes, Data Vault, Data Mesh is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Data Platforms; at least 2 AWS certifications are mandatory.
• Snowflake expertise including DWH, ETL, security, and metadata; SnowPro certification.
• Experience with open-source platforms and languages like Java, Python, Scala.
• Understanding of AWS Bedrock, AI services, Snowflake Cortex; experience with related tools is desirable.
• Ability to develop IP/solution assets and collaborate with partners AWS and Snowflake.
