The University of the Built Environment in Reading is seeking a proactive developer to join our Development and Enterprise Systems team, delivering across a portfolio of applications used by staff and students. The role involves the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to design, development, testing, deployment and release management.

You will work across Tribal applications and third‑party software, combining technical expertise with collaboration, problem‑solving

Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with up to two days per week working from home

Salary range £40,000 to £50,000 pa plus benefits

We're looking for a proactive and solutions-focused developer to join our Development and Enterprise Systems team, working across a diverse portfolio of applications that support both staff and students across the University.

You'll work on a wide range of Tribal applications and third-party software solutions, playing a key part in delivering systems that underpin the University's day-to-day operations. You'll be involved throughout the full development lifecycle, from gathering and analysing requirements through to design, development, testing, deployment, and release management.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, while working on projects that have a genuine impact on the experience of our staff and students.
