Job summary

University of the Built Environment is seeking a proactive Student Development and Mentoring Assistant to support career and study outcomes for students and graduates. This full-time role (35 hours/week) is based in part at Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) and at home, offering a practical chance to design, deliver and evaluate activities that build students' skills and confidence.

Salary range £25,000 to £27,000 pa plus benefits

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Careers and Employability team, playing a key role in helping students and graduates achieve positive career and study outcomes.

You will play an active role in designing, delivering and evaluating a wide range of activities that help to build students' skills, as well as their confidence. Working closely with University teams, alumni and industry partners, you will help to create meaningful opportunities for students to engage with the built environment sector, explore career pathways and develop important skills needed to support their future careers.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
