Job summary

The British Council in London is recruiting an E+ Programme Support Manager on a two-year fixed-term contract with extension potential. The role focuses on developing and improving operational processes to support delivering a major international education and mobility programme.

You will work closely with Programme Delivery, Quality Assurance, Digital, Finance and Compliance teams to ensure consistent, efficient and high-quality programme operations, contributing to the UK Erasmus+ delivery

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, implementation and continuous improvement of programme support processes and operational frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, guidance and delivery documentation.
  • Ensure consistent operational delivery across multiple programme teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Analyse operational performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Support the implementation of new systems, tools and ways of working.
  • Build collaborative relationships across Programme Delivery, Digital, Finance, Quality Assurance and Compliance teams.
  • Provide operational advice and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex operational queries.
  • Coach and support colleagues in adopting new operational processes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

OVERVIEW The British Council is recruiting an E+ Programme Support Manager based in London on a two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. This hybrid role supports the UK’s return to Erasmus+, following the Department for Education’s announcement that the British Council will become the UK’s National Agency for Erasmus+ from 2027. The position focuses on developing and improving operational processes that support the delivery of a major international education and mobility programme. The role works closely with Programme Delivery, Quality Assurance, Digital, Finance and Compliance teams to ensure consistent, efficient and high-quality programme operations.

  • Current right to work in the UK.
  • Experience supporting grant-funded or public sector programmes. (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Erasmus+ or similar international education programmes. (Desirable)
  • Experience of digital transformation or operational improvement initiatives.
