Tired of being just another number in a large corporate business? Want to work somewhere your ideas are heard, your decisions matter and you can genuinely see the impact of your success?
D R Newitt are partnering with a highly respected, family-owned food manufacturer with a portfolio of established consumer brands, an excellent reputation and ambitious plans for continued growth.
With decades of industry experience and a strong position in the UK food market, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, financially stable business that combines the security of an established manufacturer with the entrepreneurial spirit of a close-knit team.
We're looking for a commercially driven National Account Manager, or an ambitious National Account Executive ready to step up, to take ownership of a significant, multimillion-pound customer portfolio spanning wholesale, convenience and eCommerce.
You'll be responsible for developing key customer relationships, delivering profitable growth, expanding distribution and identifying new commercial opportunities.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain existing accounts or support someone else's strategy. You'll have genuine commercial ownership, the autonomy to influence decisions and the opportunity to make a visible impact on business performance.
For an experienced NAM, it's an opportunity to take greater ownership within a business where your contribution really matters. For a high-performing NAE, it's the chance to step into a full account management position and accelerate your commercial career.
Taking commercial ownership of a significant customer portfolio, including P&L responsibility.
Managing and developing key accounts across wholesale, convenience and eCommerce channels.
Driving profitable sales growth through increased distribution, new listings and customer development.
Leading pricing negotiations, promotional planning, trading terms and commercial agreements.
Developing and executing customer strategies and joint business plans.
Identifying new business opportunities across existing and prospective customers.
Managing sales forecasting, commercial reporting and account profitability.
Working collaboratively with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver customer objectives.
Maximising brand visibility, availability and performance across physical and online retail channels.
We're keen to speak with ambitious, commercially minded individuals who have a proven track record of delivering results within the food manufacturing or branded food FMCG sector.
Ideally, you'll bring:
Experience as a National Account Manager, National Account Executive or in a similar commercial role within food FMCG.
Experience managing or supporting wholesale and/or convenience customers.
Strong commercial negotiation skills and an understanding of customer P&L management.
A proven ability to develop accounts, increase distribution and deliver profitable sales growth.
Experience in customer planning, forecasting and building long-term commercial relationships.
Strong analytical skills and the confidence to identify and act on commercial opportunities.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to take ownership and deliver results.
Experience managing eCommerce customers such as Amazon or Ocado would be advantageous, as would exposure to ambient, organic, free-from or home baking categories.
You don't need to tick every box. If you've built a strong foundation in food FMCG account management and are ready to take on greater commercial responsibility, we'd be keen to hear from you.
