Our aim is to make mainstream and luxury fragrances affordable and accessible to everyone.

We showcase more than 130 fragrance brands across over 220 stores throughout the UK and online at www.thefragranceshop.co.uk.

As we continue to expand our digital presence, develop new online platforms and explore international E-commerce opportunities, we are looking for an E-commerce Manager to join our growing and vibrant brand.

Why You’ll Love Working Here
  • Enjoy greater work-life balance through our flexible working scheme, including 15 work-from-home days each year, duvet days and flexible working hours.
  • Work from our vibrant, state-of-the-art Trafford Park office, with excellent transport links and free onsite parking.

  • Develop your expertise within a passionate, creative and collaborative team, with excellent progression opportunities.
The Role

This is a key role within our digital team, responsible for the trading and operational performance of our websites and app.

You will use data to understand performance, identify opportunities and turn insights into clear commercial actions. Alongside managing established channels, you will support the continued development of our Shopify websites, international E-commerce activity and emerging marketplaces.

You will lead and develop our E-commerce Executives, ensuring workloads are effectively prioritised and the team has the support, processes and direction needed to deliver successfully.

Working across Technology, Product, Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations and external brand partners, you will ensure campaigns, product launches and digital improvements are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
E-commerce Trading and Performance
  • Manage the day-to-day trading performance of multiple websites and the app.
  • Own the E-commerce trading calendar, coordinating campaigns, promotions and product launches.
  • Monitor key measures including revenue, conversion rate, average order value, margin, traffic and engagement.
  • Analyse performance across channels, categories, brands and products, translating findings into clear recommendations.
  • Create regular reports that highlight results, risks, opportunities and required actions.
  • Investigate underperformance, identify potential causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Support international E-commerce growth and the development of marketplace channels, including TikTok Shop.
Website, App and Product Management
  • Manage onsite content, promotional activity and customer journeys across all digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the continued development of Shopify websites, including their structure, content and merchandising.
  • Maintain accurate product information, pricing, imagery, availability and promotional messaging.
  • Use Product Information Management systems to support product onboarding and distribute data across websites, apps, feeds and marketplaces.
  • Monitor platform functionality and proactively address issues affecting customers or commercial performance.
  • Support user acceptance testing and confirm that changes have been delivered correctly.
Technology and Digital Improvements
  • Work closely with Technology and Product teams to deliver website and app improvements and resolve technical issues.
  • Assess the commercial and customer impact of identified problems to help determine priority.
  • Write comprehensive Jira tickets containing clear requirements, supporting evidence, expected outcomes and acceptance criteria.
  • Bring forward new ideas that could improve the customer experience, performance or operational efficiency.
  • Provide trading input and practical support for conversion optimisation activity where required.
  • Apply E-commerce merchandising best practices across product listings, categories, search results and promotional placements.
  • Manage product positioning, categorisation, navigation, filtering, onsite search and recommendations.
  • Use performance, customer behaviour, stock availability and campaign priorities to guide merchandising decisions.
  • Align digital activity with Buying and Merchandising teams on assortment, availability, pricing and brand priorities.
  • Ensure product presentation and onsite content are consistent with The Fragrance Shop’s brand standards.
Processes and Cross-Functional Delivery
  • Build effective processes, reporting templates and workflows that improve consistency and team efficiency.
  • Coordinate activity across internal teams, external suppliers and brand partners.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, deadlines and performance clearly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use initiative to solve problems independently while escalating issues when wider support or decisions are needed.
  • Ensure agreed actions have clear owners, timescales and measurable outcomes.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Lead, support and develop the E-commerce Executives through regular coaching, feedback and clear objectives.
  • Manage team workloads and allocate resources according to commercial priorities.
  • Help team members build their commercial, analytical, technical and E-commerce knowledge.
  • Encourage ownership, accountability and independent problem-solving.
  • Lead trading reviews and ensure the team understands performance and the actions required.
  • Create an environment that supports strong delivery, collaboration and professional development.
