Coventry College is seeking a Dyslexia Coordinator and EAA Assessor to join the ALS Team within Learner Support Services. The role involves initial assessments and personalised support plans for learners with Dyslexia, ensuring appropriate exam concessions are implemented in partnership with ALS, Exams and Curriculum teams.

The successful candidate will promote assistive technology to raise learner achievement, manage a caseload, and participate in off-site meetings as required.

Competenze

• Hold a postgraduate level 7 qualification in Assessing for Access and a current Assessment Practising Certificate
• Educated to degree level and possess a relevant professional qualification
• Experience of completing EAAs for learners with additional needs
• Experience of working within a post 16 setting
• Have experience of maintaining a caseload of young people and setting targets which address barriers to learning and support achievement

Mansioni

• Complete initial assessments and support plans for learners with Dyslexia, personalised to meet individual needs
• Liaise with ALS, Exams and Curriculum teams to ensure exam concessions are put into effect per JCQ guidelines
• Promote a culture of developing student skills with assistive technology as a normal way of working
• Be flexible with hours and travel off-site to attend meetings
