Job summary

STEF Langdons in Redditch is seeking a Transport Operator to help keep our transport operation moving. You'll plan driver routes, build loads and coordinate resources to ensure collections and deliveries are completed safely, cost-effectively and on time.

Working with drivers, customers and internal teams, you'll monitor plans, communicate updates and resolve issues that affect service delivery while maintaining accurate transport documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport, logistics or customer-focused office environment.
• Knowledge of transport regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organization and planning skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive with initiative and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build loads and plan routes efficiently, considering driver restrictions and operational requirements.
• Monitor plans and communicate updates to customers, drivers and colleagues.
• Identify and resolve transport issues to maintain service levels.
• Update company systems accurately and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
• Work closely with workshop teams to ensure vehicle availability and service schedules are met.
• Provide support and cover for Customer Service and Driver Debrief functions when required.
